The Ivy League announced today a ground-breaking agreement naming JMI Sports the League’s official marketing rights agency, including the exclusive rights to develop and promote a corporate sponsorship program on behalf of the historic conference currently celebrating its 60th official season.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with JMI Sports,” said Robin Harris, Ivy League Executive Director. “They recognize the Ivy League’s enormous untapped potential in the corporate sponsorship space and share our excitement with the prospect of identifying new corporate partners that match the stature of the League.”

JMI Sports will secure long-term partners for the League by targeting elite regional, national and international brands that wish to affiliate with the Ivy League and reach its global audience and distinguished alumni base.

JMI Sports CEO Erik Judson said, “The Ivy League is one of the most respected brands in the world and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to help the League capitalize on the strength of its position in the marketplace and build upon its storied success.”

The 10-year agreement between the Ivy League and JMI Sports seeks to identify appropriate sponsors, increase exposure of the League’s prestigious brand, and add experiential value to its eight member universities.

“Our goal is to create partnerships that achieve the unique marketing objectives of each company, while improving the fan experience at games and championship events, and driving viewership and online engagement,” said Tom Stultz, JMI Sports’ president. “To grow the enterprise, we will focus on developing innovative solutions and strengthening relationships,” Stultz continued.

While media rights are not included in this agreement, JMI Sports will collaborate with the League and its media partners to activate assets across conference-wide television agreements and develop solutions to enhance and expand digital assets across the Ivy League Network, which includes the League’s athletics website (, nine-channel digital network (, social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and LinkedIn) and affiliate partners.

JMI Sports is currently seeking an experienced, senior-level Chief Marketing Officer to lead the new partnership.
